As far as my understanding goes, only outrunners have enough torque to be any good for direct drive.
You could use the stock 480 if you matched up the right sized prop to it, but the prop would be spinning so fast it probably wouldn't be very efficient.
If you can find a brushed motor rated to about 1000KV that would be ideal, but I'm not sure if there are any brushed motors that spin that slowly.

As indicated none would be very effective. Direct drive requires a much smaller prop to keep from burning the motor up for any brushed motor that would fit in there.
FWIW there are some low KV brushless motors. They are so expensive they don't get used for this kind of application very often.
