Has anyone mounted the wing with bolts or other methods? I want to get rid of the rubber bands. I have an idea on how to do it but I want to see if there are better ideas.
My plane is further complicated because it has windows and I want to add a full interior.

Neodynium magnets would be a very cool way of holding the wing on. You can get em cheap off of ebay.
Glue them into the foam, about 4 on each side, and that should work quite nicely. 16 magnets would do it, 8 in the wing and 8 in the fuselage. I'd say you might still want a couple of rubber bands as a fail safe though.

here is the post where I first did mine. www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4371835/mpage_105/key_/tm.htmGo back one page and you will see the first plane with open windows. (the same yellow one but not to the same degree). We were the first two to do it as far as I know. Also if you do it reinforce the "a" pillars for the runner band post. I used balsa and epoxy. the foam is not strong enough once you remove the window area. My plane has been going strong for years with some less than perfect landings and one power line strike so it is a reliably strong structure if reinforced. And I pull some g's with the plane as well with no evidence of fatigue. I have never thought of the magnet idea. I like it. I might try that. I want to redo the cabin to a more scale look so I think magnets are the way to go.
