Looks great!! I think I've done just about everything I can to my Cub and want a new low-wing airframe. Looks like a good candidate. I'm excited to see some more pics and future vids of this one on your beautiful beach.

Hi fanelli. I hope to get her in the air tomorrow if the weather cooperates. I will have the 5in1 cam with me too. It's been a nice build, a little bit more involved than my Gemini as you have to cut out ail, rud and ele and then glue in the hinges. For any future Formosa owners, do not use CA on the foam, it eats it rapidly. GWS supply a tube of glue which works well. I will get some more pics and details up later.

The finished article. The only thing i need is a spinner. GWS actually supply a block of foam in the kit and you are expected to sculpture a spinner from it. No thanks, i will order a nice Dubro. I'm using a HXT 35 42c that i got from United hobbies for $25. This will be its first outing so i hope it goes OK. The only thing I'm not too fond of is the landing gear. It's far too flimsy and it's attached to the wings. I will probably go for the Mini Pulse style landing gear that will attach to the fuse. edit. The stick mount is temporary. After getting a few suggestions from the guys on the Formosa II thread at RC Groups, i will be going for a box type mount once i have got the parts.

whats a spinner? the thing on the tip of the prop? isn't that a metal one there? What you see in the pics above is a prop adapter. A kind of fancy nut really. This is what i will get. Unfortunately this type fits a 5mm shaft and is a 40mm spinner and i need something around 50 to 60mm to match.

Looks like ya picked another winner. Speaking of flyin like it's on rails reminds me of my Tiger Moth maiden, only it flew like it was followin rollercoaster rails. Couldn't be operator error? M
