John Good stuff, presumably all cells are at 3.85v. if you are very careful and have a good voltmeter you could check the voltage of each cell to see how accurate the charger is. TBH, I wouldn't (didn't) bother. I know it's much better than the board.

Unfortunately only have at present a cheapo volt meter I have however ordered the following, will this be any good? cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270571388747 albeit a fairly cheap one itself, it looks identical to some more expensive ones. I bought it mainly for the watt meter. John

Your Polimax balances your cells to 3.85 each? Strange, mine goes to 3.8. I'd keep away from Mystery personally, Mystery is a brand based on forging products for mass production in Asia. Sometimes you can get decent stuff from them, but the components will all be sourced as cheaply as possible. I've ordered a Turnigy power meter from HK, but my order's been on hold for 6 weeks now and I still haven't received anything yet. I would pick Turnigy over Mystery and day. www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=10080I've ordered a couple of these testers from ebay, and I've always found them to be accurate enough. .03v either way isn't really going to matter ultimately. Oh, and you probably don't want to know this now that you've got the Polimax B6, but this charger seems to be the best buy for under $30 ATM. www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=7028

It'll be worth seeing if that and the charger both give the same results on a per cell basis. That will be invaluable over the years for setups. And Dillz, the first picture is what I was referring to as the board, very handy at the field but it's not accurate enough on a per cell basis to see what the state of a pack is. Use your charger when you can, it will be more accurate.

Sounds like I've made some bad choices, are you not happy with the Polimax? John

Eh, it's not that I'm not happy with it, the only real problem to speak of is the faulty discharge function, but unless you want to measure how much charge your battery takes from empty there's little need for that function.
I don't think you've made a particularly bad choice, but like I said, I think the Accucel is a better buy for the money. It's 6 amps too, which can come in very handy if you want to charge your batteries in parallel. You always find out abut a better deal just after you've bought something else, it seems to be an inevitable law of nature.

You'd only really want to check how much you have put in following a flight to evaluate flight times. You wouldn't want to empty a Lipo.

Like the charger it's just another clone: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1239444The Polimax is just another Bantam clone, just like the AC-6 is a clone. Interestingly HK now warns you away from the other 'fake clones', claiming they have the only GOOD clone and are now advertising a clone of the AC-6. Fun stuff! So will the REAL clone that is ACTUALLY accurate please stand up! I say, screw it, get a Cellpro and a REAL Wattmeter, then you have some tools you can trust.
