Been looking alot at the posts about floats and thought whether anyone had ever tried attaching empty water bottles to the SC? just a thought, glad to hear your thoughts,

You wouldn't get off the water. Floats have a step built in them to allow cavitation under the float to break the suction and get off the water.

Thanks 60buick. I'll give a try though , planning on using 2x5.5l bottles. Of course I'll test in bath first!

I would have thought two 1.5L bottles would suffice.

just because i'm bored and reading this,(and I can use floats year round) how do you guys here think I could "modify" two of the big 2 liter bottles to break the seal between the water?
I just want to fly it off the water ~Legot~.

What about just dropping $25 bucks and buying the floats that are made for the plane that work super sweet?

If you must have "cheap" floats, go the route of scratch building your own from some type of foam. Imagine how silly pop bottles would look, even if they did work.
