hi there scc, i got the spitty back almost in one piece, broken prop surprise surprise, engine mount ripped out nearside of fuse ripped off ,but if you see my gremlins photo ,you will see the spit already repaired,it does repair as well as the sc ,the only difficult part is the covering material,i suppose if you stick it down with it being camo covered it should be fairly easy to paint up.the thing is the sc fantastic as it is if it carries a few repairs , but still flies right ,then all is well.the spitfire on the other hand is a thing of beauty once it is in the air you dont notice the dings .i certainly didnt ,the flaming thing was gone like a rocket.mind you that was after i repaired it from my son hammering it into the ground .so at least my repairs work.for people moving up from the sc .as the spit seems to be the next plane of choice, please note it is bloody quick.this was the third flight ,the previous two times i remembered to cut down to half power just after launch ,but this time i checked with my son that he was ready with the camera ,was a bit pre occupied with that before i knew it ,the spit was a lttle black dot,the vid ran out before the spit " landed" ,three fields away, there was no access into the next field ,so i had to crawl on my belly underneath a hedgerow ,snagging my teashirt on barbed wire and ripping it clean off my back.any road up i got into the next field ,no sign of the spit i called out to my son ,and he directed me to the next addjoining field ,easy access this time, and woops ,there was a dirty great pond right in the middle of the field ,then by the grace of all things avion , i saw the tail just the other side of the pond ,only about two ft from it when you consider how far it travelled this was a stoke of luck.so new prop and spinner and take off on half power so i can keep the little monster near me all the best limey

I nearly wet myself laughing when i read this. ;D Good news to hear you got it back. When I'm back in the UK for work i normally try to find time to fly with a Friend in Chalfont St peter, maybe we could meet up at sometime. Especially if you do that Windsor trip. Cheers Paul
