I was wondering if it is possible to over charge the stock batteries on a Super Cub. Does it cause damage or what?

Yes, and Yes. Heat is the enemy.
If your battery gets too hot to hold while charging it is either being charged way too fast or is overcharging. It is difficult to do this with the stock chargers. If you DID charge it with the D/C charger, then plugged it into the wall charger soon after and let it do it's thing you would do a pretty substantial over charge (double capacity).
All bets are off if you are using other chargers.
