Well, I have had my SC for about 5 months now, and am finally getting a couple flights in. I originally bought the cub in early December, and had the wife inform me that it was now going to be my Christmas present and I could not touch it until then.
Low and behold, after Christmas the weather sucks, got one quick little flight a couple days after, but not even a full battery. I then spent the next 4 months staring at the plane every day, with no time to fly, or when I had time the weather would not cooperate. Finally today, I had both time and good weather, so out the door I ran! I got 2 batteries worth of flying time in, worked on my touch & go's, and even did a couple loops. Man it feels good to be flying again, after 10 years of staying away! I would have flown all morning, but a sudden 180 degree shift in the wind, along with the wind picking up a good 10 mph made me decide to bring it in for the day. Nothing like an unexpected low altitude wingover brought on by wind change to get your attention.

Congratulations on your most recent reentry into the world of RC AirFlight.
I started flying about 2 years ago, with a few month break mixed in, I still LOVE the feeling of my plane taking to the air. I can feel through the transmitter I am breaking the restraints gravity places on me each and every time as the plane begins slowly lifting off the deck. Soon you will again feel the love of flight through your transmitter and will be hooked.
Welcome back and enjoying your love of flight once more with the Super Cub is a great choice.

Got in another couple battery packs this morning. Apparently I'm going to have to fly in the morning before the wind picks up, that's the only time I have found that is calm enough right now, and the ol' SC sure doesn't seem to like the wind much. On the good side, I have gotten my landings down again, and my hand launch method is perfected. Down side, not much of one, lol. I just wish it had ailerons for full house control, guess it's time to break out the regular radio's and buy a speed control. Perhaps brushless? Oh boy, the wife is going to kill me, .

I use stock super cub electronics, with 1550 & 1750 lipos flys so much smoother and faster, and I am able to fly it in more wind Not to much more, (it has the power it needs to fly in the wind)
my 2 cents have fun! George

Wish I could fly today, but something tells me 20+ mph gusts are something you want to stay away from, regardless of how your cub is set up, lol.
