Haww! You Easterners in Alberta have already missed a large part of the flying season! ;-)
My buddy is already up to about 60 flights this year with his much-modified GWS Beaver, and I am not far behind with my SuperCub. Talk about back-seat airplanes, these models are ALWAYS ready to go...

Actually, Alberta is a Western Province ;D And I managed to fly a few times during the winter, although it's been windy as heck here lately. A little light snow doesn't seem to cause any problems with the trusty Cub, although I have yet to maiden the Corsair. SOON If the weather holds. Next saturday morning, I intend to be at my favourite big empty space at 0530 hrs, ready to go with every flyable craft I own. If I can find a cameraperson, I'll get video. Problem with 0530 in the morning, is that the only people that want to be awake that early are generally still up from the night before.

Actually, I should have added, "we could go flying" but Oh well, As bad as it sounded on TV it wasn't bad in town at all. a skiff of snow that was gone by noon. It always snows in May here, it's not a big deal. That's why I never go fishing May Long. There was only a few weekends over the winter that I couldn't have flown. Usually was stuck in repair mode on one thing or another. Hot days generally cause winds, and sweat, I don't like either of them. I fly at daybreak usually, calm winds, nice temps, no people, best time. It gets into the 90's F here nowdays. Never used to. There isn't anything in the world that would make me leave wide open skies and cleaner air. I've been to Ontario, didn't like it. Too many people, lousy air, too muggy, not my thing. Just like I don't like the west coast.
