Bought a couple of the E-sky gyros that Dave Powers uses with the intent of putting them on my SC, but the connections are not compatible. Has anyone here put a gyro on there SC ?? If so, please post pics and info !! Thanks....Mike ;D

Stock SC-ain't gonna work with the proprietary electronics.
Are you having flight/stability problems with the SC or are you just messing around with gyros?

no problems (that i know of yet!), haven't even maidened it yet due to high winds. Got them when i ordered the plane, figured I would use them in my next model.

Do you have flying experience? I've never used a gyro. I'd think leaning to fly and messing with a gyro to set the control sensitivity would be confusing.

Have some experience but it was many years ago so I am approaching my re-entry as if I know absolutely nothing, which basically I don't since the technologies have changed so much. I saw Dave Powers using the gyros and thought they might take the place of the ACT on the SC and add some stability. I do not plan on using the ACT.

SC is a very stable plane. New fliers are unstable. Unfortunately the stock SC proprietary electrics won't work with it. You'll just have to learn like the rest of us. If you can find an experienced flying buddy to get you through the first few flights I recommend that highly. Saves a world of crash repair. A flying simulator is very helpful also. Check out FMS: n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html

Bought the FMS mock TX and it of course came with the free CD of the program. Didn't like it, coughed up another $40 and got Clearview....love it. Been spending a lot of time on it. Now if the wind will quit blowing !!

Good on the SIM. Folks get pointed at FMS a lot only because a lot of folks are trying to do this on the cheap. Unfortunately much of the really cheap stuff is pretty crappy which mars the learning/flying experience.
OTOH, I have a buddy that is a lousy flier. He crashes everything to bits. I've tried to get him on anything from cheap FMS to RealFlight but he just won't do the SIMS-hates them. Doesn't find it like real flying enough. The downside to that is his average flight is less than a minute and ends up with hours of repair and often bad enough it requires new airframes. To top it off he does lousy repairs which compounds the problems.
