I got three planes and a heli ready to go, I've spent hours on the simulator, everything has been checked and rechecked, I've changed out the skis for wheels. I'm just waiting on the wind to calm down a bit. Just as my favorite field was getting dry enough to fly off of, the weather has to go to crap. Another 4" dump of snow that will melt in a day and turn everything into another mud bog. Stupid Alberta Weather Anyone got any ideas for flying off mud??

I second George's idea and since you're hand launching then why not hand catch as well. And like Duck91, I don't wait for the wind to go away. I just go with the wind. Flying in rough winds can be fun.

Flying in rough winds can be fun. I admit it is exhilarating. But the winds we been getting are too much even for the honored Supercub. I've yet to maiden the corsair, and the stupid ass little phantom firebird is soon to become a swamp boat for the mud puddles. Real soon, it doesn't fly for Sh*t Since I;m relatively new to the heli, dead calm is in order for it. But, today's snow is pretty much gone, if this wind keeps up, the field will dry out quick. Just got to get rid of the wind for an hour and I'm laughing.

we have had solid 15-25mph wind the last 2 weeks, frustrating. the few calm days we have had i was at work. i have a great planes p-51 to maiden soon but im gonna wait for the weather to break.
i have been flying my multiplex magister because its heavier, at about 4lb so it handles wind better then the supercub would. im also running about 700watts to so i can power out of about anything.

I'm waiting to maiden my Parkxone corsair. It should have the power and weight to handle much heavier winds than the SC. I just want a reasonable calm day for the maiden.
