I saw the video of Nebraska Flyer modding the Supercub and that he "stitched" the U/C wire legs to the plastic bits (think they are called spats) My spats had broken off a long time ago so I made some new, tougher, longer ones and bent them to shape with very hot water. They were screwed to the battery box And then drilled and used thread to fix the wire securely to the spats They looked good but on the first outing, one bumpy landing bent the U/C wire back and buckled the plastic spats. I had to cut the thread to get the U/C off and straighten it. What a chore! Now I'm back to the U/C wire just slotted into the front of the battery box. Every time it bends, it just gets straightened. I think the flexing in the wire absorbs the energy and saves damaging the battery box/fuse. Regards Retiredbri
