ahh ive seen this guy!!! ive messed around with it in my FSOne. its got some really funky flap modes like crow mode or something...interesting stuff but great flying plane as far as the sim goes.

If your looking for a nice high wing and low wing HANGER9 just released a few new models...quite nice. As far as Cubs go....I wouldn't consider a Piper Cub and easy plane to fly due to some of it's tendencies. It's a plane that could quickly bite you in the ass if your not careful. Low wing planes like the RV4 is a nice 26-28cc trainer . I don't really agree that a low wing is harder to fly than a higher wing. tech.flygsw.org/RV-4_a.jpgJMO Flyer88

I agree that low wings are not any harder to fly. They are different to fly in the way that you will need to learn but not any harder IMO. They all have different tendencies whether it is a top mid or low wing. Heck 2 different top wings can fly totally different...and they all do. The USL flies totally different then a 1/4 scale cub even though they are almost the same size and both have top wings. I agree on the cub not being the easiest to fly. Last year at our local club fly in I got to fly one and it was was different than I imagined. Not exactly hard but something to get used to. In the same day I flew and landed a big ole 50cc ....shoot I forgot the name of it....that was owned by an older gentleman at our club who's eye sight has been hampered. Here is a pic of it. cubs do take some getting used to, but for some reason I like them lol.

most smaller engines are nitro, for one reason they are much simpler. plus there is no ignition system to worry about. also due to the way nitro burns, they can run fairly cool at very high rpm. i dont believe any one is manufacturing any gas engines under 1.80 size which is big. nitro planes arnt as hard to tune as a car motor, well easier then my .46 on my savage but its a pain in the butt to keep tuned. i have a os fl-70 on my cessna and its simple to tune, and runs well. Actually, I'm in the process of converting my warbirds to gas. Since most of them are .60 size, it was difficult in the beginning. Now there are a few companies that offer 17 & 20 gassers at a VERY reasonable price. BTW, since I switched the Hellcat over to gas, I haven't looked back!!!!!
