A SC fell out of a tree 1 month after I "landed" it there and I find myself with a plane to mod ;D Am wondering in anyone has taken the landing gear off and put a skid plate on the bottom of the SC. Thinking of using the landing gear wire from a Typhoon (fits SC) and plastic top from a container of rasins, Sun Maid Super Cub. I figure that if the plate (rasin top) is parallel to fuse and held away from the battery box by the X port tube there should be adequate cooling and it just might work, HLs only but that's OK. Any thoughts?

A lot of the guys do the belly landing. Adding some packing tape to the bottom of the plane for protection. I my self just beefed the the battery box, and trying to make the lading gear stronger ( not to much though I want the landing gear to take the abuse) I am in the process of fabbing up suspension cushioned type landing gear.
