One of the latest releases from Multiplex, is the Mentor. A larger size trainer with very stable flight characteristics and lots of room for an easy flaps modification. I think when my HZ Cub meets it's fate..............this will be the replacemnet.....nice plane !

When I was recently shopping the Mentor, Nextstar Select and Apprentice were on my favorites list. I fully rebuilt my SC when I first got it, upgraded the electronics and put in a BL450. Built a motor mount modeled after a few examples I had seen and added my own flare. Anyhow I do have some experience with building/playing with this stuff but with my nearly 1 1/2 absence from the sport I didn't feel it was the right time to do a more build intensive plane as the Mentor. Maybe this year sometime. Leaving me with the Nextstar Select and Apprentice the Nextstar just felt/looked too big and much for me just jumping back in. So the Apprentice it was. I agree the Mentor looks like a great plane. You could let my brother fly your SC and when he puts his mark on your plane you can get your Mentor. Would hasten the purchase I am sure! Wayne

Nothing wrong with the Apprentice either............nice plane too. I'm sure they are both very stable planes, good choice either way. Flyer88

After this weekend in the clouds I will let you know. You have any experience with this model or just going by the numbers?
