Had the SC out on the skis the other day, and one ski broke after 2 takeoffs, first landing was clean, and both takeoffs were clean too. I can only blame it on the semi-frozen rough state of the snow i was flying off of.
I now have a new set of skis ready to be mounted, but I want to reinforce them first.
What have you guys done to reinforce them?
I need ideas.
I'm thinking of fibreglass tape on the bottom, and on the top of the tip with the strands running parralel to the ski. I may even epoxy the tape as well. I will also epoxy some foam from an old tail into the mounting pylon? for more strength.
