If you are at the stage where you are modding the SC to brushless but still are nosing it in a bending those stupid shafts (TowerPro-you know the ones) you might be interested in this for $25:

Low KV, swings a big prop on 3S. Not a barn burner, more of a decent upgrade. This is pretty comparable to the MUCH more expensive

With a short hardened 4mm shaft and the windings WELL glued together you'll have to have a pretty nasty crash (ie, no Cub left) to trash it I think.
No, I'm not selling it. It's just a very nice but overlooked motor. Used to be popular but somehow got lost in the cheap Chinese clutter.
Disclaimer-since crash forces HAVE to go somewhere you are still in for repair with this motor. Be sure to look at the specs. NOT a 200W motor, will NOT rip the wings off. But it will not die if you give it a nasty look.
AND, this motor is very suitable for use on med size flat foamies (like the Axi) due to a reasonable weight and big torque with large props. Not for tiny foamies, too heavy.
