Hey any chance of build pics as you go? I just may end up expediting my build along with yours. You got me thinking speed again. Kevin
Sure thing . As soon as I get my parts in from Hobby City, which should be about a week, I'll start working and posting my progress.

i think a fun jet or hobby people f-16 might be in my future. my friend is selling off a f-16 fairly cheap, power setup is only about 650watts but it will be more then fast enough for me for a while. but the fun jet is interesting, everyone eles i fly with is running edf's on their fast planes, i like to be differnt lol. have to see how you guys like yours.

I'm kind of curious about EDF. They aren't REALLY external DUCTED fans you know. They are just tiny little props in a can moving really fast. A 'real' prop is more efficient and quieter. That's how it looks on paper but I've no personal experience. Must be something that gets people interested.

I think the "E" stands for Electric...not external. They are very ineffecient. I guess some will take shorter flight times for the wow factor....I will. I like my edf's a lot. They make all kinds of racket and scream by making your head spin.

ya electric ducted fan. 5 mins of high speed is enough to kill your nerves most times lol. its running a Wemotec mf. the sound and speed is addicting.

Here are some build pics of the FJ. Still waiting on my order from Hobby City, can't do much until then. I installed the Eflite flashing red LED in the tail and a constant white LED in the tip of the nose. It looks cool.......I'll try to send a video when I'm all done. Gotta love duct tape...................Fly it low !

The Funjet is certainly a good looking plane.

doppler is between 72-78mph you video is a bit windy so the sound was a bit dirty. not too bad though, bet its a blast to fly.

Hi Glenn. Looking good and sounding nice. I heard you mention the throws in the vid. What did you do, make them more or less.?

Hi Guys ! Hey Duck thanks for the doppler.....I was kinda curious to know. I'm gonna run a 5 x 5 prop instead of a 6 x 4, maybe that will give me alittle more top speed ? SCC with regards to the adjustments: I increased my elevator throw and degrease my expo on ele and ail...and pushed my cg back a tad. that helped with some sharper turns. Specially in a small flying field . Cheers Glenn Interesting link : www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article_display.cfm?article_id=913
