I have been flying a SC since july and now have 83 flights in the books. . what a great plane! Its easy to lose track of time while you are flying..but slap one these cheap "dash clocks" on your TX and you will see at a glance your flight time. i41.tinypic.com/11t68eg.jpg

Got me thinking... I attached an old digital watch to some velcro & stuck it to the front of the TX. Now i have a handy stopwatch timer. :-)

I've got an old fashioned sports stop watch on a long lanyard round my neck. Without looking down, I feel for the watch and bring it up to by eye line. It keeps my eyes on the plane as much as possible.

Or a countdown timer from the dollar store for a buck.

At the field I just guesstimate usually on the conservative side. For my little Blade MCx heli I use a countdown timer with alarm. I've seen a number of creative timer solutions stuck on the TX.
