Thought my SC days were over today. Second day out and I lose control of the plane. SC winds up in the top of a tree on the slope of a ravine. I had to go home get a ladder, throw rug, rope and every piece of pvc pipe I could find. After three hours of poking pulling and copious amounts of cursing I managed to work the plane loose. There were a couple of times when I thought heck game over the tree ain't gonna cooperate. Were it not for the help of a park handy man who just happened to have a thicker piece of PVC that plane would still be there. Anyway all is well but I will fly on a different stretch of park for now on.

I found wood like 1"x2" or 1"x1" even, to be much more rigid that PVC. Have some that I Gorilla tape together to get the length I need - onetime about 30' was needed.

I am sure you right. I simply went with what was available at the time. I am sort of learning as I go.
