I bought this as a step up trainer to learn with after mastering the SC. I've had problems with the plane from day one. First off, as soon as I powered it up upon assembly, the elevator would go all the way down, and the servo would buzz. After scratching my head, emailing tech support, swapping parts and posting on several forums, I found out the Transmitter was in Mode 1 right out of the box. After I got that sorted out, I went for my maiden flight, and after approx 4 minutes (on two 3200 mah Lipos), the motor shut off and I was smack dab in the middle of my first dead stick This is after only 8-10 flights with my cub in stock configuration (I know, I couldn't wait). This is the sum total of all my flight experience up to that point. I actually got it down in one piece, thanks to the excellent flight characteristics of the plane. This happened several times, always after only 3-4 minutes. So, this lead to the ownership of a watt meter, and I found out the motor was drawing the correct amount of amps, but the ESC was getting too hot to touch, so I was just about to send it off for warranty, but I decided to fly the plane one last time, knowing the motor would shut off, but I was feeling pretty confident, as I had just flown my Cub again, which went great. So, I checked everything out, all looked good, so off I went. I no sooner got it in the air, when I realized something was terribly wrong. It swiftly rolled over and nosed hard into the ground WOT I use the same transmitter for both planes, and can anyone guess what I did? I didn't switch to the other plane settings and the ailerons are reversed from the Cub's. So the more it rolled, the more I freaked and moved the stick, only making it worse. Complete, total, ROOKIE mistake that cost me my plane. I mean it's tore up from the floor up So I guess maybe this thread is not in the correct spot after all-the Electristar USED to be in my hangar, not any more
