Hi,
I'm finishing off my first aileron wing and just need to add tape to reinforce the leading edge, tips, over the servos and wires, etc..and paint.
But I'm not sure which to do first ... paint then tape on top of the paint or tape and then paint on top of the tape ?
Thoughts, opinions and experience please.
Thanks

Thanks If you're painting right on the foam, the I'd tape first. If you tape over paint, the hit something with the wing, the tape will pull away - with the paint. On the other hand, if you are doing the light-weight spackle and Minwax Polycrylic then paint method, you could probably tape over that safely. The later is what I'm i the process of doing, but haven't decided on the tape matrix. Put some 2" fiberglass tape nice and tight under the wing. Ellis
