Hey, Please escuse all my questions ive been asking I do not know much about battieries. I want to be able to charge my batteries quickly and safely, I've done DC in my moms car and Her battery died cause I had the keys in the ignition cause that is the only way it would charge she has a honda civic 08. So for now on I gotta use AC unless any of you know another way I can charge my batteries as fast as DC but not in a car. Is there any converter or anything of some sort? Thankyou

Go to Circuit City and buy your self a DC power supply, and eventually purchase a good charger from Hobbycity on-line. A good charger will save you a ton of frustration and keep your batteries running well.

Do they sell at Circuit city? And Does it matter what type I get? Ill use this for my Supercub Stock battery. Do I just plug into the Wall and begin charging? with the same speed of doing it in a car?

What exatly are you asking? I i am willing to get you in the right direction if you can explain what your having trouble with.
Plug your charger into the red and black hubs on the front of the power supply. Hook your battery up to the charger and charger. It will be the same as if you were in your mom's car....no different. If you need a adapter they have those at radio shack or even walmart. It is a simple cig lighter on a set of aligator clips....then clip the aligators on the red and black post.

I just got a Work Radio thingy its a big box radio that has poles on it and a 12v DC female slot that charges at a max of 1.0 amp, I plugged my DC male charger in it and set it to 1.0 amp and it took like 15-20 min charge i was amazed!? is this normal? and is it safe to use this Work Radio? Here is the Work Radio bosch.cpotools.com/other_tools_and_equipment/power_box_radio/pb10-cd.htmlIts 12V 1.0 Amp Max. My battery is 7 cell 8.4v 1000mAh. I ran my plane after it charged it worked fine, but I didnt run it all the way.

If you have a use for a tool/radio like that it's fine. If it ONLY has a rating of 1A for that plug in outlet don't turn the PZ charger higher than that or you could maybe burn out something. That seems odd that it would be that low because it's obviously rated to charge some serious tool packs. They show charging a cell phone off it so maybe that circuit is pretty limited.
If all you got it for was that charging function then it's a pretty expensive, low end power source.
The wall wart charger is limited to [Charge Rate(s): .50 amp @ 8.4V, .40 amp @ 9.6V]. It DOES NOT automatically shut off when the battery is charger like the DC charger.
[Notes: Discharge your battery before using this charger. It is a timed trickle charge at 2-1/2 hrs, and will overcharge if connected to a charged battery. LED light indicates charging.]
If you are going to hang with this sport it's going to be necessary for you to learn some stuff about electrics, how they work, and how to solder and make your own connections for electronics. It can be pretty intimidating at first, it certainly was for me because I didn't know squat about electronics and my soldering sucked.
Read and practice. First thing you might want to learn to solder is new battery and charger connections. The Tamiya connectors PZ supplies are pretty crummy and ultimately will fail on you.
