Hey,
I was always wondering why most or all of the RC planes only have 2 fins instead of like 3 or 4?
Thanks,
Jake

from what ive gathered from reading more "fins" (i would call them blades, its not a fish) generates more thrust which is ok until it begins to pull too many amps for your power setup or throws your engine off balance at certain rpms. the cub's low total amp draw makes using anything more than a 2-blade prop obsolete as it may draw enough amps to fry your system.

3 blades have more air resistance, so they will draw a bit more current.

Weird as it may sound fewer blades are more efficient. Blade are moving pretty d**n fast > they create a LOT of dirty air. The more of them the worse it is. You do create more thrust but at the cost of lower efficiency.
Most efficient blade is a singe, with a balancing counterweight of course. Multiple blades are mostly for ground clearance purposes and 'look'. With more blades you generally have to decrease diameter since you are pulling more load.
