Well after about 200 flights my rx decided to take a crap. I was flying at the local park and things were going great. Until I was making final approach deadstick (no wind what so ever....) then all of a sudden it went WOT and hung a right...gained about 50 feet of alt. and went straight down...this is when my radio kicked back in and I was able to pull out at about 3 foot up and make a recovery. This cheapass 6 channel gws has paid for itself many times over. I landed it at my feet and took it home in one piece. What a scare though.....time for another berg.

Thanks guy's. Yes I do still make time for the cub. Tonight I will pull the rx and put a fresh 7p berg in it. I also need to remount the trap door servo. The dual sticky tape let go and the servo was just flappin around in there. Fixed that with a rubber band in the field but needs attn. now. So do the ski's. I think it is time for a fresh set. This is the same set I learned with.,.....not much good anymore.
So I guess all in all it is time for a revamp for the cub...well deserved revamp. Finally know how to fly so why not...lol.

A Trap Door?! Man Sometimes I would love to do a project like that, Im just scared ill ruin the plane, unbalance it or something will go wrong  |

With my stock TX, I broke the throttle lever in the first 3 days. I also had cut out issues while flying, motor running, motor off, back and forth like this. Converted the Cub to 2.4ghz, LIPO ...the whole nine yards and bought a DX6i. Spent a few toad skins but couldn't be happier!
