ive completed my aileron mod and was centering and the ailerons and making sure that they have the same amount of throw in each direction when i found that both move in a 2:1 ratio to each other. after some sleuthing around it has something to do with the flap system
my ailerons are programmed as flaperons as i used the 2 servo method. for some reason they move or are programmed in a 2:1 ratio to each other. is this normal? when i move the servos out of flaperon mode they move the normal 45 degrees in each direction. im really confused as to what is causing this. i would think that your ailerons would have to move in equal opposite directions to each other to make the plane fly right.
i even moved the two elevator and rudder servos (which always center perfectly and rotate in a 1:1 ratio at 45 degrees) into my flaperon program and the total travel gets cut 50%, but yet staying in that 2:1 ratio at 16% and 32% within the reduced throw. this whole thing doesnt make any sense. is there a way to set up the 2 aileron servos without using the flaperon option? would a y-harness work as i know they have to move opposite each other?

This is a guess-check differential.
Yes, you can use a Y-harness for single channel control.

but wont a y-harness move the servos in the same directions? i need them to be opposite. it does say something about adjusting differential after your servos are moving in the correct direction but i cant find that in the programming menu
ugh i hate electronics.................

i just played around with the differential and that didnt do anything either. i havent programmed any mixes into the JR or anything so im really not sure why they are moving in this way and why their rate of travel is so affected

ok i just ready up on y harnesses and i realized that as long as my servos are mounted mirror of each other (which they are) and my arms are opposite they will work fine on a y harness. i will try to pick one up tomorrow and see what happens
