I love my SC but need a winter project. I would like to try to build a plane from scratch. I was thinking of getting a mini telemaster. I could build it as a 3 channel and eventually buy the ready made wing that has alerons to upgrade it to a 4 channel. Is there an easier airplane to build than a telemaster? Something about laser cut parts? Thanks for all of your help and suggestions. Dan

Don't know for sure but it sounds like a good plan. I got a deal on a balsa Mini Pulse XT that's begging to be put together. Something about a balsa plane flying truer than a foamie is really appealing to me. Was talking to a friend at work about a plane with an optional wing that has ailerons. Could you post back here where you found the best deal?

Winter... that's when I build all kinds of models that I don't have time to fly in the summer! Next year I'm gonna ignore the chores and just fly: freeflight, radio, slope, controline, kites, the lot. Sure...
I'm part way through a Speed 280-powered Fairey Fulmar, but I have a HP42 Heracles at the top of the build list; 4 motors, biplane, freeflight, 25" span. I'm into Small this winter, no more room for bigger models.

Hey dslars, Mountain Models makes a great entry level kit that will gently introduce you to balsa building. Check out their EZ series kits. They are "EZ". Fuse and tail feathers are simple blasa construction. The wing is foam, can't get easier than that! I've built two of them. They are great flyers too. here's a link : www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=752214I have several posts, and pics of one of my EZ's on that thread. fly well, M
