I am a 66 yr. old retired phone man and always wanted to fly an R/C plane. I read about the SC on all the forums and decided to try one out. After reading all the tips on reinforcing I flew my first flight. I did a hand launch and everything went well until my SC was flying away from me further than I wanted. I made my turn back and BAM landed in a tree. FUN,FUN, Went back home and got a retractable paint stick and knocked it down. More fun.I could not find landing gear any where, finally located in the tree and kocked it down. No damage to plane and I can hardly wait for another calm day.
Thanks for all the tips

Good job! And welcome
I've used the stick method three times. One time I had about a 30' pole Gorilla taped together - needed every bit of it.
