Hello all Flying the Super Cub just keeps getting better. Have finally quit breaking props and found a great LHS, life is good. Built up a Super Cub with an e flite 450 brushless outrunner motor and the owner of the LHS suggested an APC 10 X 7 e prop, works like a charm. A 10 X 7 Master Air Screw also works very well but the hub is a bit thicker so the spinner doesn't get threaded on as much as it should (I'm worried that the spinner might strip and the prop will just fly off) Flew 2 battery packs after work at a new field, FANTASTIC! Came home with some very minor repairs to the plane, so I'm happy ;D Attached a 5 LED bicycle light to the X port tube, can burn steady or flash and is kind of neat. This is really a cool upgrade, but the light cost $15 Was flying the other evening and I let the plane get much too far away, lost orientation on it but just did a part of a circle until the "headlight" was pointing at me and brought her home. Reckon all flying with this plane is on "free" time so... The following day I pulled a real dumb thumbs move, super hard landing on asphalt and disintegrated the light. But hey sice the landing gear got bent out of shape too... Think the next step will be a new wing with ailerons, ain't life grand. Happy and safe flying to all. PS Ended up putting on an older cowl that I had applied spray Plasti Dip to, on the inside of cowl. That thing is taking a beating and still holding up, looks the worse for wear and tear but is in one piece.

Great Job, sure is a fun plane when it all starts to come together with successful flights and landings! I bet the light is cool too!
