HI ALL Well i tried to fix the problems on my esc and done a bodge job, result, it dont work no more. i need to upgrade the electrics as ive gone lipo, with standard motor. money is tight so what is a good cheap alternative besides the original gear. i have a blade cx2 with a spectrum transmitter and would love to use that on the cub, any ideas on the esc or a cheap bundle. also got some hitec hs55 servos waiting to be used. ;D cheers all

just got finished with the same mod. you'll need a new RX to go with your specktrum. I got a castle creations pxie 20P ESC for about $35 new on ebay. i dont have it in the plane yet but i hooked up all the elecs and it runs everything fine...plus it has programmable LVC (which i wont be using)

The TX is 5 channel and looks compatible with standard Spectrum stuff-from this link: www.e-fliterc.com/Products/Support.aspx?ProdID=EFLH1250#manuals[The Spektrum AR6100e receiver installed on your model weighs just 4.4-grams and is compatible with the included E-flite LP5DSM transmitter and other Spektrum DSM2 equipped transmitters and modules. Please visit the AR6100e (SPMAR6100E) product page on www.SpektrumRC.com or www.HorizonHobby.com for more information regarding this receiver’s features and functions.] So, you gotta get a a brushed ESC (I'll let admirelev educate you about that) and another RX. www.spektrumrc.com/There are no cheap Spectrum RX-one of the drawbacks to 2.4. fly

does that radio have a fixed pitch curve like the radio for the blade cp does? i tried to use mine off my cp on a flight sim and it has a hardware mixer for the pitch, so i cant use it with any planes. just something to make sure off.

OK, been on the spectrum site and the receivers handle up to 10v only and my 3 cell 1300 lipo is 11.1v does this mean the receivers cant handle the lipo or am i reading in to it wrong! also my hitec55s servos dont look like they will plug in to the spectrum receivers! heeeeeeeelp

that doesnt make any sense. many people use 3 cells (all 11.1 volts) with specktrum recievers. im not positive but i'd say that sounds funny. i ran an AR6200 with a buddy's 3 cell 1800 mah before a mishap and there were no problems.
as for the pixie, they are pretty nice. im still installing my elecs into the new fuse i purchased as ive been swamped with work latley. they come naked so you need to solder on your own connectors. i went male deans for both the battery and motor leads, although you might want to use 3.5 mm bullets on the motor lead. i didnt like the shrink tubing involved with the bullets, so i scraped them. eflite also makes a couple of brushed ESCs that you can check out. fly lead me onto the pixie, and i took it for its programmability for lipo LVC, which is still very low (highest i could find). i wouldnt recommend flying by LVC with lipos...time your flghts. although i havent programmed it yet, i did a raw hookup of my power system without my servos and everything seems to work fine
good luck

i would check on that throttle/pitch curve duck is talking about. it could destroy your plane

the bec in your speed control limits the voltage down to 5-6volts so you dont cook your rx.
i have never used the blade cx tx but i know the cp is that way. ask around rcgroups im sure they would know.
