Well I find got my Cub to fly today by replacing a twisted wing. Took it out for a flight this evening after the wind died down. The Cub took off perfectly and climbed nicely, then started to do circles. I could not get it to stop and with each circle got farther and farther away until it was just a spec on the horizon. Probably somewhere near China by now. I am a little upset about it to say the least ....Peter

And you couldn't cut power? A tad of down elevator? No response at all?
Sucks!

Man, that's rough. And not even any wreckage to grieve over.
Sorry for your loss.

Man that sux.
It shouldn't have gone that far, the engine will stop when it loses contact with the Tx, at least mine does. Unless it was interference that caused it. It wouldn't have been able to fly for more than 15-20 minutes anyway at 1/2 throttle, much less at full throttle.
Was it flying over houses or fields? It might be findable.

Sorry to hear that Peter. I must admit I think that is the worse senario. I would rather see my plane hit the deck and collect the pieces, than wondering where my beloved Cub ended up.
Check out your LHS, somebody may of handed it in.
Good luck.

Thanks Gentlemen, I was flying at the outskirts of town on a big hill (old dump) When it took off I tried to get it to respond but I couldn't do it. It all happened so fast, being new and all. There are heavy woods, a river and then the town, and that baby passed all of them on an express flight headed for Lake Ontario. Would you guys on the west coast please keep an eye out for it for me. ;D Anyway, I didn't get much sleep last night as I kept worrying about where it landed. I hope it didn't hit anything or anyone! Not sure if I want to try again.....peter

I'll keep an eye out for it,
I hope you don't give up on flying.
Maybe someone close by has a used one for sale.
I got mine for 50 bucks with a new fuselage and some spare parts. Or you could buy the parts and build a new one to go with the radio you have. You can get a fuselage with electronics, wing, tail, LG motor gearbox etc It would be a bit less than buying a new plane RTF , but only by 50 bucks or so. At least you could do it a piece at a time.
