Just picked up a new Futaba 6EX at what I thought was a pretty good price...Only to find it doesn't include a receiver.. DOH! What else as far as receiver/ESC combinations will I need to buy to use it with my beloved Super Cub ;D. Am I locked into Futaba or will other manufacturers work? Keep in mind I'm a total newbie and electrons and I don't get along very well, (I have trouble wiring a light switch! ). I do have parts for another Super Cub and am planning on adding ailerons so rx/esc suggestions for both would be greatly appreciated. ;D Thanks in advance.

if you are staying with the stock motor you will need a 72mhz negitive shift (most hitech, futaba are) rx, and a brushed speed control. stay away from JR, airtronics rx because they are positive shift and will not work.

Try castle creation berg rx's. They are cheap and solid. I have about 20 of them and never had a bad one yet.

Castle is great. They are autoshift. Good results also from Corona, also sold as lightflightRC, and Vampower-auto shift also.
Avoid GWS-short antenna, tend to be glitchy. Avoid Blue Arrow at all costs.
