Hi All. I am relatively new to RC flying, only been flying for about two months now. I started with the HZ Commander, then the FB Freedom, the next logical choice was the cub. What a great little plane this is… I have had the usual crashes during training, and on more than one occasion thought that was the end of the plane. But no, to my surprise I have been able to patch her up and get it flying again. The last one smashed the nose cowl, bent the prop shaft and ripped out the firewall, snapped the wing in half and split the fuselage in the cabin area. A sad sight indeed. I had a four day wait for the new firewall, but buy the time it came I had it all repaired and strengthened and was in the air again in no time. I have also bought a second cub which I’m holding off using till this one is finally reduced to spares, which is still a long way off I hope. I have been doing a lot of flying with a camera on, and if your interested take a look at youtube user 999delboy999 To sum up what is a long first post (sorry) This is a superb little plane, easy and cheap to repair, very important when your learning, so your not put off by high cost of some parts for other so called starter planes I have seen. Ps. I now keep looking at the tree’s folks think I have lost the plot more so when I tell them I’m just checking the wind….
