I can't believe some of the awsome paint jobs that I have seen on this website. Is there a special kind of paint to use that won't damage the Supercubs foam??

Yeah, there are a lot of things that will mess up that foam. I read that the carrier in a can of spray paint will mess it up for sure, of course I read that after trying it and messing up some test foam. Finally I settled on a jar of acryllic paint, mixed it 2 parts paint and 1 part water and just used a little roller to apply it to the foam (those little 6 inch rollers for touch up painting around the house) It turned out pretty fair and is the best way I've found to paint the plane. Hope it helps. Happy and Safe flying

Tamiya Acrylic paint won't bother the foam, but doesn't stick to the plastic pieces well. The cowl, struts. and spinner, can be painted with enamel. it bonds to the plastic better, and doesn't flake off. You can paint over the enamel with acrylic if you need to match colors.
Masking anything is pretty much out of the question, but Hangar 9 Ultratrim works well, or colored packing tape, for trim. Or cover with tape and paint the tape.
Used a couple coats of Poly acrylic wax on mine, sanded litely, then sprayed with paint. Its has survived one crash with out anything peeling, but time will tell. Tape will peel the paint.

As A quick note.
Even enamel doesn't stick well to the SC cowl, or spinner.
I will have to try a light 400 grit sanding neck time,
