So here I am in Deeping St James near Peterborough, nearly 60 years old, but 17 in my head. I used to fly control line and a bit of free flight in the mid 60s, but didn't have the cash to go into r/c.
Then I used the net to trawl through the sites and after a visit to Sqadron Leader I'm the proud owner of a squeaky clean Cub. I'm unashamedly mad about war birds; I live not too far from RAF Coningsby where the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is based. I'm used to seeing the dear old Lanc fly overhead with its Spitfire and Hurricane guardians; what a sight, and what a sound!
Ok, the Cub is no war bird, but it's a first step to something in that area. Great site and I can heartily recommend Sqadron Leader!
