Deciding to put a couple clicks in the up elevator before attaining a safe altitude caused me to crash my SC yesterday. I took my eyes off my SC for a moment at low altitude to make this adjustment and when I looked back at her she was flying inverted. I was flusterd by this time and over control washed over me. The SC crashed on the bottom of the cowl slapping the tail wheel against the ground. I broke the prop, bent the LG and broke the tail off just ahead of the horizontal stabilizer. This followed a perfect day of flying Friday. The repair to the tail was an easy fix as the foam fits together like a puzzle and with a little epoxy the repair is almost invisable. I'm becoming very good at straightening the gear so that was no problem. I am going to replace the cowl and I have several props. I've learned a good lesson. Altitude is my friend. The SC is very forgiving and will be ready to fly again tomorrow following a thourough check of the airframe. The 450 BL motor and motor mount are all intact with no damage.

duck,
I broke the motor mount off the fuse early in my RC flying experience. It fit back on like a puzzle piece also with a little 15 minute epoxy. I have a MAXX 12" extension on the left aileron that could been part of the problem also. It plugs into an E Flite extension off my servo on that side but fits loosely to the point I have to tape the two together. If I did lose control on the left aileron this could have caused the problem. I will just assume pilot error but be sure all connections are sure before flying again.
