Hello everyone!
My name's Ken and I'm an RC Junkie!
*Hi Ken*
I first got introduced to the RC world when I was a kid back in the 70's. My uncle had many planes that he built in his basement and used the crystal technology with all that expensive equipment. I unfortunately didn't have a plane (that actually flew) until this year. And my first plane? You guessed it: The "Super" Cub! I've since bought another plane (Parkzone's F4U Corsair) and am loving this hobby too much. I bought FS One's RC flight simulator before I got the Corsair and got the experience I needed to fly my first aileron plane. I'm here to tell ya, the flight simulator is a must if you want to save yourself money on damaged plane parts. It's also a great thing if you live in a place like I do where wind and rain hinder your chances of flying outside. I just bought the Corsair this last week and I'm already planning my next purchase. I've gotten a bunch of good flight times out of the Super Cub and I'm now looking at modifications to her to make her a better plane. Anyway, so I don't bore you to death with anymore info, I'll close for now and hopefully see you at the nearby flying field! Glad to be a part of this great site and I'll be seeing you around!

Thanks! Great place you got here!
I'm from western Washington near Seattle and I love the F4U! I would highly recommend it to anyone if you like warbirds!
I understand where you're coming from. I'm always thinking of what my next purchase will be, or what I plan on building. In my first post I hinted at making some changes to the Cub. Well here's what I've got in mind:
New brushless motor New speed controller New servos controlling the following: -elevator -tail rudder/rear wheel -ailerons also going to change her over to Li-Po
Have two wings I'm going to try out. One with separate servos controlling each aileron, and one with only one servo controlling both mounted in the center of the wing. We'll see which one works the best. She's been a great starter plane and will hopefully survive all the mods I put her through.
Thanks for the warm welcome and I hope to have some pics of the mods up next weekend. I'm away from home during the week at work but will be back on Friday to put her all together. I'll post as soon as I can. Later!
