Hi. I'm new to this forum and new to flying. My wing tips have chipped a little when I hit a fence. (Tried to pull up, but wind was heavier than we thought). If I tape it over a hole, will it be okay? Or do I need to fill the hole first?
Also, how do you take off the prop. It looks like the spinner cover is glued on, but once that is removed?
Thanks in advance.

You can cover the hole with tape. I'd tape up the whole wing tip and the Leading Edge of the wing with packing tape as well to prevent further damage.
The spinner shouldn't be glued on. Just pull on it and it should pop off. Once off there is just one nut that needs to be loosened in order for the prop to slide off the shaft.

Thanks! Will do it. The plane held up really well the rest of the flights that day. Great fun!

The SC is a tough plane and can stand up to a lot of abuse!

i would cover the leading edges and wingtips also...it saves you a lot of dings and dents. put a strip across the underside to keep it from flexing too much too

Crazy question....What is the best way to tape the wing tips and leading edge?

get some packing tape. anything works, but ive found that 3m extreme tape is the best. take a piece if tape as long as the wing and run it half on the topside, and half on the bottom side. wingtips are trickier. i place a piece of tape on the top and bottom without overlapping them but i let some tape hang off the end of the wingtip. i stick the hanging parts from each side together, then take the scissors and cut the pieces overhanging the wing and walah!
