Hi folks - I'm a newbie to the Super Cub, and have taken 7 flights so far, the first not so good, the remaining 6, better and better each time. I ran into a problem today - the plane runs great on the ground and will get full throttle, but when it lifts off the ground, it dies. Both of my batteries (which are new) are both fully charged - ACT if OFF. I can actually hold on the ground full throttle and lift the plane off the ground (by hand) and it dies. What do you think - this is only 2 weeks old.. Warranty time or is there a quick fix?? Thank you.. Jeff

Maybe your cub does not like heights. Hi Jeff. Welcome to the forum. Couple of things to check. Make sure your LVC jumper is still in place. Give the Tamiya connectors a wiggle while power is on. The connectors are not very good and connection becomes intermittant. I woul also disconnect the ACT wires from the rx.

I had the same proplem with my SC. I found one of the connectors was slipping out of the clip and would lose contact. I was able to make a bend on the plug and push it back in. The bend catches and prevents the plug from pulling out.

I was having an issue with the connectors from the esc to the motor, mine were intermittent at best, and would sometimes fail for seconds at a time. The last incident ended up with me trying to deadstick it, and just as I was turning in to touchdown, the motor kicked on full bore and headed straight for my head. I dumped the plane in the weeds as a last resort, as it was about 20 feet away moving at a good clip.
The first thingf I did was replace all the connectors with E-flite EC3 connectors, and now everything is zoomy.
I know every one says use Deans, but they take some skill to solder properly. The ec3's are simple, solid and can handle the amps.
