--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My friend successfully completed the pre flight checks today on his hobbyzone super cub but just after he had finished the rudder jammed fully to the right.
The throttle and elevator still worked as normal but there was no response from the rudder.
After a bit of fiddling we discovered that by pressing the xport button on the TX the rudder would move all the way to the left, letting go of the button it returned to full right.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

This sounds like the rudder servo connector is attached to the X port pins. The two servo connectors attach to the circuit board at the bottom- rear, and the wires cross, with left servo to right connector, on the board. This could only be the case if the rudder never worked correctly when you did pre flight checks. Other than that, it sounds like a bad circuit board.
