Are there any issues using a DX6i from a helicopter? It's mode 2 and is new. Does the factory set it up for the Blade that will give me problems of any kind, or is the same same as you'd use for a plane?

Mode 1 is used in Europe generally. The radio, as far as I'm aware, is programmable for up to 10 aircraft, fixed wing or heli.

Yes, it seems mode 2 is the way to go. The only heli aspect on mine was they had a setup the the Blade 400. I could delete it, but I just move off model #1 - can't anything but the cub as the first one.
I hope my RX comes soon so I can fire up my motor.

Hi Ellis. The other difference with your TX as it came with a heli, is that it probably does not have a ratchet feel on the throttle stick.
I like the clicking feel of the ratchet as it kind of locks in the stick. With helis it's a NO NO. One click is a massive difference in control of height and thats why its set to a smooth feel.
My new TX has no ratchet as the previous owner flew helis. I might open the back and see if i can set it to a light ratchet feel.

I called Sphinctrum and they didn't say any about that. I think I'll be happy with it but, let me know what you find. Also might pick your brain about starting points for some of the mixes i.e. aileron/rudder, flaps/elev, gin/tonic. Ellis
