Had a chance to see some absolutely incredible flying this weekend
YA, They really are THAT CLOSE !!
In case you're not familiar with these boys, they are the U.S. Navy "Blue Angels" FA-18 flight demonstration team. They were in town this weekend for three days of jaw droppin flying demos. There are six planes up all at one time; four fly formation and two do special highly technical manuevers solo and in tandem. You gotta see it to believe it. I am fortunate to live 1/4 mile from the airport and I can take pics of them as they line up for their various manuevers. I have never, ever seen anything as spine tingling and awe inspiring as these guys screamin thru the skies in such perfectly controlled and seemingly effortless manner. Anyone interested in the wonder of flight just has to witness these guys in person; guaranteed to mesmerize, inspire and make a guy proud to be an American !
