Hi guys, this is my first post so go gentle!
I've been flying the SC for about 8 months now. Great plane but I want to get a bit more out of it.
From reading through some of the other threads it seems like the PZ 10.8v 9c battery from the FW-190 (which I also have) can be used on the SC, for a noticable performance boost. It looks like some people have had some problems with the motor cutting out though, whereas others have had no problems. I thought that if the 9c battery does cause problems with the stock ESC, then I could possibly use the ESC from the FW-190 in it? So just to confirm the situation;
1) Can I use a 10.8v 9c battery in the SC with no problems (apart from minor battery box mod).
If not then,
2) Can I use use the ESC from the FW-190 as well. I think this will be compatable with the SC motor and servos as it sounds like they are the same (480 motor and 5w servo's), but please confirm this is the case.
Has anyone else used a FW-190 ESC with a SC. How does it handle with the high/low rates?
