After taking some snap shots with a canon sd450 attached to my super cub, I decided to try a video. It ended in the luckiest crash of my life. (More info on the video page.) www.vimeo.com/1223309

oh my! That sure was a miracle given all the trees and the lake. It almost looked like someone was actually flying it there though, looking for a place for an 'emergency' landing. cool dave mc

Great footage. What were the chances of that.

oh my! That sure was a miracle given all the trees and the lake. It almost looked like someone was actually flying it there though, looking for a place for an 'emergency' landing. cool dave mc After posting the video, I realized that it does look like I am just trying to cover for a really bad landing. I have made plenty of those, and broken most parts of the plane. This time, I swear, I just got lucky. I thought the plane and camera were long gone. (I'm on my second camera as the first went to the bottom of the lake after a crash while on floats.) Thanks to a few new parts, epoxy, and this message board, I have been able to recover from my poor flying skills. As a matter of fact, this tail snapped just forward of the previous tail snap that had been epoxied back together. That crash happened earlier this year when the lake was still ice and I crashed into it. Hard. Just when I think I'm getting better at flying, something like this happens. Keeps me humble and my wallet light. I'll try to get some videos of more successful landings in the future. Thanks for the responses!
