If I purchased a four channel radio that came with a receiver and the necessary servos, what else would I need to do a proper aileron mod? Can I keep the stock motor?

Yep the stock motor is fine.

Including the radio and servos, you'll need a brushed speed controller if you sticking with the stock motor.

I think that about covers everything for the ailerons.

Will any brushed speed controller work?

^^^ might want to get one that will handle a lipos voltage and look for one with a decent low voltage cut off just in case you decide to upgrade. other then that just look for one that will handle the amperage.
