Apologies in advance for asking what might be thought of as a stupid question but here it is:
Why upgrade from the PZ stock radio gear?
Or rather what are the advantages a Spektrum radio set - other than the frequency change from 27Mhz to 2.4Ghz? I fly alone so don't really have channel problems on 27Mhz and CB radio is pretty much non existant in the UK.
I only ask because if I have several PZ planes and if I were to do the upgrade and have 1 tx set for all of them then they would all need new rx and new escs as well as some of them having new servos which will be quite an outlay. Are there other advantages like smoothness of action, lighter tx, longer batt llife of tx etc
Also what are the differences of between JR, Futaba and Spektrum sets (or any others I haven't heard of)?
