Tell us about your aileron mod, how did you do it. This is the next thing I plan on doing after converting my SC to 2.4GHz and a new DX6i. Got the DX6i last Thursday and a GWS ICS 480 ECS tonight. (Boy, they are small!) I was expecting something much larger.
Very nice airplane!

Just curious-are you a new flier? Any RC experience?
If not I wonder why people put a huge amount of effort into making something look that nice (and it DOES look nice) when in all probability they are going to trash it. I've been flying a year and a half and ain't ready for that kind of 'pretty' yet. Course if you are one of those folks that just likes the building part.....go for it. I've found I'm not.

I'll try to answer all the guestions. 1. I like the building part most, which is why its pretty. My comment about taking it out and crashing it is pretty accurate. I've crashed it more than several times. 2. The wing is covered with packing tape and then painted with Krylon. Works great. 3. Aileron mod is the same as everybody else or at least what most of the recommends have been. 2 HS-55 servos, with wire extensions to reach the cab. Just used a new razor to cut the ailerons. Important safety tip. When installing the hinges try the tooth pick suggestion I read from someone to align the hinges. I have one uneven aileron (the right one). Here are some pics www.picattic.com/] www.picattic.com/] www.picattic.com/] And this is the current configuration. Found out I'm not ready to fly ailerons at least not with the Rimfire motor which goes stupid fast. . So I modified one of the old wings with a 2.25" trim job and re-programed the rudder to the right control stick on my radio (just like the original Super Cub radio) along with putting a governor so to speak on the motor, I only have about 60% available right now until I learn to fly this thing. More training.... www.picattic.com/] Oh yea, I forgot to add I am a VERY low experience flyer. Started last fall on a SC that a friend gave me. Said he didn't really like flying it all that much. Mostly I tinker, have my son-n-law come over and talk me into taking it out to fly. We crash'em both, this one and the one given to me until we are out of batteries or the planes won't fly anymore because their in pieces.
