Need some advice

As some of you might have read I've recently gone glow power with a ripmax trainer 40. Nearly finished it off now, just waiting for the futaba 2.4Ghz tx to come back from the recall of stock.

I don't want to completely lose electric flight, so Ive thought about selling my first SC, buying a replacement fuse, wing, tail, landing gear, pushrods and clevises and putting completely new electrics into it. Thought about an E-flite 450 brushless motor with a 25A speed control and some cheap radio stuff. Thought about putting a cf rod in the wing as well and maybe ailerons? Just like to hear some tips and what people think.

Well for 13.50 a piece the hs81 servo's are a great match for this plane. A 450 outrunner will prove worthy as will the 25a esc. Only thing that will stink is the 100 dollar rx for it. No biggie though, it can be pulled and used in any plane. Did you get the 7C? Or the 6?

Also think about the landng gear. Eflite mini pulse xt gear is a simple upgrade and tough as nails. Bigger wheels should be on your list too. CF in wing will help but still requires struts.

I got the 6C. I think they got recalled cause in some of the sets the code that pairs the rx to the tx got messed up but im not sure. I dont no whether to just take the rx out of my other plane whenever I want to use the cub instead of buying a whole new tx & rx but I think it might be too much of a hassle. just wondering can you pair a 2.4Ghz tx with more than 1 receiver or not?

Pretty sure you can. Most of the 2.4 systems allow you to program 10 or more aircraft, meaning each plane can have its' own rx. No need to swap out for each aircraft, whether plane or heli.

I added up how much it would be to do all of this and theres just no point. I could buy 2 t-28 trojans with money to spare with the same amount it would cost to build a new supercub with the parts I want
