I've been Jonesing for a fast plane for a little while now. I'm thinking about building a FunJet for my next plane. I've been reading a lot of good things about them.
Anyone here have any experience with them?

Very nice plane. Huge threads available. Well thought out, well put together, flies great. Much better than a Stryker (have one of those too). I'm actually using it with a stock Stryker C power plant.

Well, I think you would have been better off to build the FJ. Really, much better plane. The Stryker is clunky and sloppy by comparison.

Update on the FunJet. I have built and flown a few times and it definitely lives up to its name. Very fun and fast. Not the 150mph fast that as some guys are flying them at but fast enough for me at this point. These photos were taken before I installed the motor and the servo covers: The paint is kind of sloppy but elapor foam isn't the easist to paint on. I have no idea why the two photos are different sizes. They are both the same sized photos in my PhotoBucket acct.

Thanks Mararra,
Right now its my favorite plane. I like it better than my SC, which I can't remember the last time I flew it, also like it better than my T-28. Its pretty easy to fly too. It goes slow or fast.
If you're interested in an easy to build fast one, this is a winner.

Looks good! I bet she rips up the sky real slickly. What is your set up? Motor? Batt? Esc? Servo's? rx?

Kevin ARC 28-37-2 motor E-Flite S-75 servos Castle Creations Thunderbird 56 (This is over kill But I was thinking of future needs). AR6000 RX (I pulled a stupid and accidently cut one of the antenna off my AR6100 so I pulled the 6000 out of my SC, the 6100 was brand new too) Various brands of 3S 2100 20C batteries. Once I save some money I'll be upgrading to 4S packs. But my current charger only goes to 3s. I want to get a nice charger and since I never take the charger to the field I want one that is AC, not just DC. I get around 6 minutes of flight with each pack. It's not the fastest but I'm having fun with it.
