What a beautiful evening. Absolutely no wind. Put all the gear in the van and went to the farm to fly.
This is only my 3rd and 4th flight on my SC and the first flight was going very well until I overcontrolled and crashed from about 15 feet. Broke the prop but no other damage. The SC was laying on its top when I got to it and I suspected a lot of damage but there was virtually none.
The 4th flight lasted 8 minutes and the landing was less than wonderful. The landing, well crash, damaged the landing gear. The gear seems to bend easily but is very hard to straighten out. I'll just get a new one. The left wing hit the side of the house, broke the wing strut hooks on that side and cracked the wing just a little at the band protector. Packing tape fixed it with no problem and the area is strong after this repair. The wing is a little wrinkled at the center around one side of the rubber band protector but other than this it is in great shape to fly again.
This is a durable plane and I had a great time. Even though there are mishaps I learn more ever time I fly it.
